In Service of Others

10 students chose to spend Middle School activity day in the service to others. In the month before activity day Round Square Club members met with a community liason for End Homelessness Winnipeg and learned about the homeless population in Winnipeg. Students decided to organize a wool sock and hand warmer drive to help meet the immediate needs of the homeless population in Winnipeg. Along side that, students from Middle School were offered an opportunity to volunteer their time at Agape Table and Siloam Mission during Activity days. 10 students from Grades 6-8 helped hand out food and warm clothing as well as clean up in the morning at Agape Table. They delivered the collected socks and hand warmers to Siloam Mission and then helped sort clothing and got a tour in the afternoon.
