Events and Reunions

Throughout the year, SJR hosts a variety of alumni events in Winnipeg and beyond. Join us at one of our upcoming alumni receptions or School gatherings.

Homecoming is the main event when the majority of reunions are held. If Homecoming does not work for your reunion, we are happy to host you on an alternate date.  Please reference our Tips for a Meaningful Reunion document to help get you started with planning your reunion. 
Homecoming 2025 returns with a line-up of in-person events. Dinner on Friday, a Golf game, Soccer, and a BBQ on Saturday, and a tour following. The perfect reunion weekend with plenty of time for alumni to gather at private reunion events on September 19 and 20, 2025.

SJR will be hosting the following milestone reunions at Homecoming in 2025:
1955, 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015

All alumni are welcome to attend the Homecoming celebrations regardless of their graduation year. You will have the opportunity to reconnect with retired and current SJR faculty and staff.

    Tickets must be purchased in advance.
    Tables of 8 are now available to purchase online. Be sure to register now and indicate if you have any dietary restrictions. Looking forward to seeing you then!

    SJRAA Holiday Open House and Open Skate

    For all alumni, a casual meet and greet for you to celebrate the holidays.  Drop in for a bite and beverage after work or before heading off to other events.

    Want to check out the new arena? Join the open skate for all alumni and families from 6 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
    Join the reception for a bite and then head off for a skate or visa versa.
    Helmets are required, pucks and sticks not permitted.

SJR is proud to be accredited and affiliated with several local, national and international educational organizations.
St. John’s-Ravenscourt School was founded in 1820 principally to serve the children of the Selkirk settlers. By 1834 there were forty students, evenly split between boys and girls. SJR has inevitably grown and changed over the years since, though its success throughout has been unimpeachable. Today the programs are as strong as our reputation. A strong academic program is paired with an equally strong attention to the values of stewardship, ethical leadership, and excellence in all areas of academic, social and athletic life.
