Ms. Erica Pflug's Grade 7 ELA students read the myth of Pandora to better understand Greek mythology and to practice storytelling using objects.
Students each created their own "Pandora's box" to inspire, excite, and pique curiosity. After two days of creative thinking and construction, students released an emotion or concept into the world for their classmates to explore and think about in a critical way.
The results were truly astonishing and the release of these ideas and emotions led to students feeling connected to each other through storytelling in powerful and memorable ways.
Ms. Pflug would like to commend her students for the considerable time and effort they put into constructing and presenting these boxes, and for demonstrating bravery, compassion, empathy, and love to each other.
